Raynor Massage
a deep tissue therapeutic massage.
What is Raynor Massage?
Raynor Massage is a deep tissue therapeutic massage technique created by naturopath Brandon Raynor. As well as focusing on the muscular system of the body, it benefits the skeletal system and the subtle body energy systems of the body. The technique originates from a combination of different styles from around the world that include Therapeutic massage, Deep tissue, Ayurvedic massage, Lomi Lomi, hand and foot Reflexology, Chinese Medicine, Shiatsu and Yogic breathwork.
The goal of Raynor massage is to find and eliminate tension in the body that can otherwise lead to physical ailments and psychological imbalances. Another important concept of Raynor massage is that the source of some residual tension can be from repressed emotions or stress. Our physical and emotional bodies are connected and have powerful effects on each other, and through massage, we can free up emotional blockages and relieve stress. Deep breathing throughout the treatments will help to release repressed emotions.
We treat the body in a holistic way and recognise that one part of the body may be tight due to tension held in another area. By emphasising important parts of the body that are often neglected in other massage styles, such as the fingers, hands, abdomen, sacrum, hips, toes, feet and head, we increase the chances of freeing up blockages.
There is no specific routine to Raynor massage as we always focus on the individual needs of each client and follow bands of tension in their bodies.
Raynor Naturopathic Massage is generally recognised as one of the most powerful and effective forms of massage therapy today. Massage can bring about a whole host of long lasting physiological effects including reduced heart rate, increased blood circulation and lymph flow, lower blood pressure, relaxed muscles, improved range of motion and improved release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. It can also treat many emotional and psychosomatic problems, and improve a person’s overall sense of well-being.

My training.
I trained as a Raynor Naturopathic Massage therapist in March of 2022, with Dave Taylor. The creator of this method, Brandon Raynor, has a Diploma of Naturopathy, Remedial Massage, Shiatsu, Chinese Herbs, Ayurvedic Medicine, and is the President of the International Natural Therapists Association. In April of 2024, I attended a specialised course in face and belly massage with Lily Faget Beaumont, with her wonderful Bliss Touch massage method. I now incorporate these extra learnings into my current full body massage, and am able to adapt the treatment even further for each person.
About me.
I’m Phoebe, I grew up in a village in the French countryside. My love for the outdoors, tranquillity, social interactions and well-being make yoga and massage the perfect pursuits for me. I discovered yoga as a teenager, and began practising on a regular basis when I was at university in Madrid. The mesmerising and soothing voice of Rūta, my first teacher, was what truly drew me in. Yoga has changed my outlook on life, as it encourages me to appreciate every moment by being more aware, present and mindful. Massage, however, is something that has been in my life from a very young age. I used to receive massages from my parents fairly regularly, as well as from my best friend’s mum, who is an aromatherapist. I equally enjoyed giving them, and always wanted to one day learn better methods and techniques which is what led me to become a deep tissue Raynor massage therapist.
I have a background in hospitality and was drawn to this industry because I adore taking care of people. I never imagined my life would lead me to be a massage therapist and a yoga teacher, but 2020 blessed me with time to reflect on what I truly want to be doing with my life. The bottom line was that what brings me the most joy and satisfaction is helping people feel better in their own bodies and minds, and I do this through the powerful practices of yoga and massage.
Aside from yoga & massage, I enjoy hiking and skiing in the mountains, I love to be in the water, splashing around, swimming, scuba-diving or even free-diving. I love food (mostly eating it, but also cooking) and I particularly enjoy baking. I adore spending time with friends and family, playing outdoor games on a sunny day or curling up by the fire with a book on a rainy one. I love dogs and can hardly wait to welcome one into my home. I am a huge clean-freak and you will often find me organising things. I love to travel and discover new cultures and landscapes. But above all, I love my partner Jake, who day after day enriches my life tremendously.
